our story

Why I Started Mint Pinch

I was tired of soulless decor. You know the kind—neutral, flat, forgettable. I wanted pieces that sparked conversation. That felt alive. That carried history. So I went to India, Portugal, and Morocco. Back to the textiles I grew up around, and had seen on my travels. For this Kantha throw, I partnered with artisan families in Rajasthan to create something better. This is the first in a series of limited-edition home pieces we’re launching soon.

About the Throw

Handcrafted in Rajasthan, India, this throw is tradition, artistry, and reinvention stitched together. Each piece is made from reclaimed vintage cotton saris, carefully selected for their vibrant colors and patterns.Local artisans in small villages around Jaipur hand-layer these fabrics and stitch them together using a traditional embroidery technique called Kantha—thousands of tiny running stitches that create texture, strength, and soul. The result is a reversible quilted throw unlike any other: no two are alike. You might spot faint marks of its past life—a bit of fading, a contrasting patch, or thread variations. These are not flaws. This is slow craft. Made in small batches. And made to last.
